Whimsical Character with Texture and Glasses
Creating character planters is so much fun, and this one, resembling a wise or perhaps slightly grumpy old man, is brilliant. The use of texture for the hair and beard, combined with the glasses, really brings it to life. I think a standard Terracotta Pot ☍ would be the perfect base. I’d paint it a skin tone, perhaps adding some lines for wrinkles. The key features are the accessories. A nose could be sculpted from Air-Dry Clay ☍ and glued on once dry. For the fuzzy eyebrows and beard, I’d use pieces of grey Faux Fur Trim ☍ attached with hot glue. Finally, perch a pair of Doll Glasses ☍ or small craft glasses on the nose. An upright plant like a Snake Plant ☍ works well, contrasting with the fuzzy beard texture.
