Mesmerizing Magenta: Cat-Eye Magic 🔮
I’m obsessed with the cat-eye effect, and it looks absolutely incredible in this vibrant magenta shade! This technique uses special magnetic polish to create a shifting, velvet-like line of light that moves as you angle your nails. It looks so luxe and surprisingly isn’t too difficult to achieve at home.
- How I Create the Cat-Eye:
- Apply your base coat and optionally, a layer of black or dark polish (this often makes the cat-eye effect pop more). Let it dry/cure.
- Apply a thick coat of the magenta cat eye magnetic polish ☍ .
- Immediately, before the polish dries (or before curing if using gel), hold the nail magnet wand ☍ close to the nail surface (without touching it) for about 10-15 seconds. You’ll see the magnetic particles gather into a line or shape depending on the magnet and how you hold it (e.g., hold it diagonally for a diagonal line).
- Once you have the desired effect, let the regular polish dry completely, or cure the gel polish immediately to lock the design in place.
- Finish with a glossy top coat.
